Banning the Bottle – Filter Your Own Drinking Water

Getting off the bottle is hitting home. But for many, going back to
chlorinated water straight out of the tap is not an appealing option.

The alternative is simple and very affordable – filter your own
drinking water with a water filter suited to your local water
conditions.

There are many compelling reasons to STOP drinking water
bottled in plastic. That it is more expensive than gasoline and
potentially hazardous to your health are just two of the many
factors that are turning the tide against pre-packaged water.

After a decade of unquestioned bottled water consumption,
public awareness is shifting away from market-driven dependence
on this commodity that sent an estimated three million plastic
water bottles into Metro Vancouver’s garbage just last year.

Tap water (in Metro Vancouver) costs you only $0.0008 per litre.
Compare that to a single-serving of bottled water at $1.75 a litre!

That’s a 21,875% markup for what is often just tap water
bottled in plastic that recent studies link to heart disease,
diabetes, liver problems and cancer.

Note: It takes 3 litres of water to produce 1 litre of bottled water!
