Unflushables

April 09, 2023 1 min read

Only three things are OK to flush down the toilet —pee, poo and toilet paper.

Flushing ANYTHING else clogs our sewer systems, which means that actual people must go into the sewers to remove our mess that damages equipment and causes sewers to overflow.

Wipes, paper towels, tampons and applicators, condoms, hair, and dental floss should NEVER be flushed. They go in the garbage.
Even products promoted as ‘flushable’ should go in the garbage, NOT down the toilet.

Medications should NEVER be flushed. Return unused medications to a pharmacy for safe disposal.
